UCP2 and coronary artery disorder: We found a higher UCP1 protein expression in EAT in the CAD compared with the control group (6.8 ± 4.0 versus 2.2 ± 1.6, respectively; p = 0.0001) and a higher UCP2 protein expression in MAT in the CAD group compared with the control group (5.2 ± 3.8 versus 3.2 ± 2.0, respectively; p = 0.005).
