In a subgroup analysis excluding patients with prescription of either a beta-blocker or renin-angiotensin inhibitor at index stroke and/or a diabetes mellitus type 1 or 2 ICD-10 diagnosis, autonomic dysfunction was still highly prevalent and varied from 4/29 (14%) patients with orthostatic hypotension and 25/25 (100%) patients with abnormal 30:15 ratio at index stroke. This evidence concerns the gene REN and diabetes mellitus.
