IKBKB and cancer: Simultaneously, not only significantly suppressed phosphorylation of the inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit beta (IKKβ) in melanoma cells was observed, without affecting its overall expression, but also decreased expression level of phosphorylated IκBα, as well as cancer stem cell characteristics, for example, the downregulation of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) was noticed.
