Further supporting these findings, we tested whether CIC regulates the expression of its target genes ETV1, ETV4, ETV5, SPRY4, and DUSP6. Consistent with the above findings, there were no significant changes in the expression of CIC target genes (Fig. 2G and H), suggesting that the transcriptional repressor activity of CIC in gliomas may be blocked by mechanisms other than its mutations.
