As shown in Fig. 2E–G, aspirin significantly downregulated the expression of CD44 (24 h, 0.63 ± 0.05, p = 0.002, 48 h, 0.55 ± 0.04, p = 0.0006) and CD166 (24 h, 0.60 ± 0.02, p < 0.0001, 48 h, 0.41 ± 0.02, p < 0.0001) at both mRNA and protein level in CRC cells. Here, CD44 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
