Knockout of SHP1 in the dendritic cell lineage does not cause inflammation, but it does cause lymphadenopathy and autoimmunity (Abram et al., 2013; Abram and Lowell, 2017), indicating that depletion of SHP1 in different cell types results in distinct hematologic defects. This evidence concerns the gene PTPN6 and Lymphadenopathy.
