Further molecular study indicated that the proinvasive tendency of tumor cells with TRIM58 suppression was probably related with mesenchymal phenotype transition of tumor cells, as western blot/qRT-PCR study both indicated that mesenchymal cellular markers (N-Cadherin and Vimentin) were significantly increased in TRIM58 silencing cell groups, while epithelial phenotypic marker (E-Cadherin) was considerably suppressed (Figures 2(g) and 2(h)). The gene discussed is CDH1; the disease is neoplasm.
