We have previously shown that a number of inflammatory proteins are affected by hypoglycaemia [34] and these include C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10 (CXCL10), interleukin 1 alpha (IL-1A), interleukin 10 (IL-10), interleukin 12 alpha (IL-12A), C–C motif chemokine ligand 19 (CCL19), tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) and TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) and therefore these specific proteins were correlated with the complement proteins. The gene discussed is IL1A; the disease is Hypoglycemia.
