In 2018, Mylotarg was approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for the treatment of patients aged 15 years and above affected by de novo CD33-positive AML, except acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), in combination with daunorubicin (DNR) and cytarabine (AraC) [10]. Here, CD33 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
