TAF10, as a chromatin and transcriptional regulator, plays an essential role in numerous cellular processes, including transcription, the cell cycle and apoptosis.[15] In mouse F9 embryonal carcinoma cells, absence of TAF10 has been reported to result in cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.[14, 16] We hypothesised that TAF10 also enhances the transcriptional activity of MYC, resulting in a higher level of MYC protein expression.
