The importance of Wnt signalling pathways in Dupuytren’s disease has beenidentified in multiple Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) (Dolmans et al., 2011; Ng et al., 2017) and wefound that TNF signalled via the canonical Wnt pathway to promote the development ofthe myofibroblast phenotype only in palmar fibroblasts from individuals withDupuytren’s disease (Verjeeet al., 2013). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is Dupuytren Contracture.
