Insulin resistance was related with a higher incidence of breast cancer and post-breast cancer, all-cause mortality, which may be attributed to the direct cancer promoting effect of insulin on tumor cells.3,4 In our hospital, we found that more than 50% of the patients with DLBCL of the breast had IR before therapy; when we reviewed the patients treated over the past 11 years, which was surprising. This evidence concerns the gene INS and breast cancer.
