We observed that among the 15 genes identified as differentially methylated in our study, five (KCNH7, ADAMTS2, SIX2, DOCK1 and ZNF598) were predicted to be targeted by miRNA identified as differentially expressed in breast cancer tissues of cases compared to controls in the study of Ohzawa et al.[55] or Du et al.[54] [Supplementary Table 14]. The gene discussed is DOCK1; the disease is breast cancer.
