Statistics from Oncomine showed that SLC7A8 is significantly up-regulated in several carcinomas, including breast carcinoma, colorectal carcinoma, head and neck carcinoma, leukemia, lymphoma, and melanoma.[33] However, this was only verified at the mRNA level of some breast tumors and melanoma cell lines.[34] However, how SLC7A8 promotes lung metastasis of OS has not been reported. The gene discussed is SLC7A8; the disease is head and neck carcinoma.
