Using in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo stromal-specific Yap1 cKO mouse models combined with clinical relevance data, we demonstrated that stromal cells could be markedly remodeled by tumor-derived miR-141 to show CAF-like capacities that scaled up the production of the proinflammatory chemokine GROα, which in turn, promoted metastatic colonization in ovarian cancers.
