RUNX1 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia: Considering just B-cell ALL, the biopsies from high hyperdiploid ALL cases were 1.7 times more likely to be CMV positive than ETV6-RUNX1 ALL, and 2.71 times more likely to be in the upper tertile of CMV-load (95% CI, 1.34-4.73).29 Our results, in combination with those from Gallant et al, strongly suggest CMV is associated specifically to hyperdiploid ALL.
