SP100 and primary biliary cholangitis: In recent years, anti-sp100 and anti-gp210 antibodies are new biomarkers for the diagnosis of PBC, but they have relatively low sensitivity and are unable to timely assess the prognosis of disease.4,5 Currently, liver biopsy remains the gold standard for diagnosing and staging of PBC.6 However, because of the invasive nature of liver biopsy and the risk of complications, many patients are reluctant to undergo the procedure, omission of which can make a clinical diagnosis more difficult.
