We found that 30-day in-hospital mortality was positively associated with the APACHE-IV score, diabetes mellitus, acute respiratory failure, COPD, acute myocardial infarction, atrial fibrillation, cardiac arrest, congestive heart failure, CKD, ESRD, sepsis, stroke, cancer, serum creatinine, serum magnesium, lactate, mechanical ventilation, glucocorticoids, vancomycin, carbapenem, and levofloxacin, whereas 30-day in-hospital mortality was negatively associated with ketoacidosis, hypertension, hemoglobin, serum albumin, pH, and nitroglycerin. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and chronic kidney disease.
