In addition to pathological functions and therapeutic value, KIF20A has been recognized as an independent prognostic factor for various malignant cancers, such as bladder cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, gastric cancer, epithelial ovarian cancer, and NSCLC (Ni et al., 2018; Sheng et al., 2018; Shen et al., 2019; Xiong et al., 2019; Nakamura et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene KIF20A and breast cancer.
