Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis showed that five markers may discriminate patients with IPMN and from control patients, with areas under the curve (AUCs) of 0.72 for EV miR-4539 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.59–0.85), 0.55 for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) (95% CI, 0.39–0.71), 0.55 for CA19–9 (95% CI, 0.41–0.71), 0.59 for EV-miR-22 (95% CI, 0.42–0.76), and 0.64 for EV miR-6132 (95% CI, 0.47–0.81). The gene discussed is CEACAM5; the disease is pancreatic intraductal papillary-mucinous neoplasm.
