Atypically, AD patients demonstrated a positive connection between Th2-related cytokines (CCL17, CCL22), Th22-related cytokines ((IL-22, myeloid-related protein (MRP8/14), and IL-32), and vascular inflammation, especially given that atherosclerosis is a Th1-dominated illness and the role of Th2-produced cytokines remains contentious (Figure 2) [29].
