FOS and Alzheimer disease: The exception was the limbic nuclei of the thalamus (including AD, AM, AV, and MD) and all nuclei classified as extrapyramidal and ventral striatum (AcbSh, Cpu, SNR, SNL, and VP), where an increase in the density of the c-Fos protein was observed after injection of naloxone into both the ipsi- and contralateral hemispheres.
