INS and Insulin resistance: Increased body FM elevates the blood glucose level on an empty stomach and lowers the homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), triglyceride, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, whereas increased fat-free mass affects the HOMA-IR, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels; furthermore, muscle strength and endurance exercises influence blood lipid levels and insulin sensitivity, suggesting that an uncontrolled blood glucose level may reduce the endurance level [47,48].
