Zhao et al. exploited the aberrant expression of CD30 and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) genes in lymphoma cells by combining ALK siRNA and RNA-based CD30 aptamer probes into nano-sized polyethyleneimine-citrate carriers to construct nanocomplexes that specifically silenced ALK gene expression in lymphoma cells, causing growth arrest and apoptosis [130]. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is lymphoma.
