A study investigating the relationship between the levels of several CXC chemokines in tumor tissues and gastric cancer relapse has shown that the levels of CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL5, CXCL8, CXCL11, and CXCL13 in gastric cancer patients without recurrence after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and there were no changes in most of the CXC chemokines in patients with recurrence [24]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and neoplasm.
