Downregulation of CXCL13/CXCR5 signaling by either reducing CXCL13 levels or blocking CXCR5 expression significantly reduced the proliferation of B-ALL cells and favored tumor prognosis, while upregulation of CXCL13/CXCR5 signaling with the addition of exogenous CXCL13 increased the growth of leukemia cells [57]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL13 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
