Furthermore, serum sclerostin was lower in patients with previous radiological evidence of fracture (127 pg/mL vs. 176 pg/mL, Mann–Whitney, p < 0.05) (Figure 1E) and previous history of osteoporosis (118 pg/mL vs. 153 pg/mL, Mann–Whitney, p < 0.05) (Figure 1F). Here, SOST is linked to osteoporosis.
