Interestingly, as opposed to microglial large EVs, neuronal and neuroblastoma cell line small EVs seem to promote amyloidogenesis of soluble Aβ through the binding of the amyloid peptide to the glycosphingolipid glycans [61,62,92] and to the cellular prion protein (PrPc) [146,147] present on their surface.
