To verify whether CAF-associated SPOCK1 and POSTN expressions are associated with the immune cell infiltration of CRC, especially with macrophages, we detected the expression of SPOCK1, POSTN, CD68, and CD206, which are related to CAF in 8 cases of colon cancer and corresponding para-cancerous tissues by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assay, and found that compared with para-cancerous tissues, SPOCK1 and POSTN were significantly up-regulated in cancer tissues (Fig. 9B–E), while CD68 and CD206 were also significantly overexpressed in cancer tissues(Fig. 9B–E). This evidence concerns the gene SPOCK1 and colorectal carcinoma.
