CeTeG/NOA-09, a randomized phase III trial in patients with glioblastoma harboring a methylated MGMT promotor investigated a combination chemotherapy with TMZ and lomustine (CCNU) in addition to standard-of-care surgery and radiotherapy and was able to show an increase in median overall survival from 31.4 months to 48.1 months [3]. This evidence concerns the gene MGMT and glioblastoma.
