The results indicated that knockdown of PHF5A resulted in upregulation of 1392 genes and downregulation of 1851 genes in MGC-803 cells, which were presented in the Fig. 3A. According to IPA, we found that these DEGs were enriched in classic signaling pathways, disease and function, such as nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway, activation of sumoylation pathway, cancer, cell death and survival (Additional file 1: Fig. S2A, B). This evidence concerns the gene PHF5A and cancer.
