Arora et al. demonstrated that higher levels of S100A8 (median survival: High vs. Low = 12.73 months vs. 15.1 months, respectively; P = 0.0009) and S100A9 (median survival: High vs. Low = 12.67 months vs. 15.03 months, respectively; P = 0.0005) gene expression was associated with poor prognosis in GBM (CNS4) patients [58]. This evidence concerns the gene S100A8 and glioblastoma.
