ARID1B and cancer: ARID1B shares 60% sequence identity with ARID1A, also contains an ARID domain (Figure 4), and is also mutated (although at lower frequency) in a variety of cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, melanoma, and some gynecological cancers (Figure 2) (Kadoch et al., 2013; Mashtalir et al., 2018).
