Intriguingly, the levels of all six autoantibodies were strongly related to the protein level of LACC1 in both controls and patients (Fig. 2D,E), supporting the master role of LACC1 in autoimmunity regardless of disease status (Pearson R = 0.448, 0.870, 0.653, 0.687, 0.606, 0.812, P < 0.001 of ACA, ENA, ASO, ANA, RF and dsDNA in control group respectively; Pearson R = 0.691, 0.717, 0.554, 0.587, 0.422, 0.636, P < 0.001 of ACA, ENA, ASO, ANA, RF and dsDNA in patients group respectively).
