The most common pathologic type of thyroid cancer was papillary carcinoma (197/202, 97.5%), and 85.1% of the patients (172/202) were in American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) stage I. Of the 202 patients, 176 discontinued thyroid hormone therapy and 26 were administered rhTSH. This evidence concerns the gene TG and thyroid gland papillary carcinoma.
