To determine whether dysregulated CD4+ T cells in HDAC3ΔIEC mice promoted intestinal inflammation, the T cell transfer model of chronic colitis (47–49) was used, in which purified CD4+ T cells were isolated from HDAC3FF and HDAC3ΔIEC mice and adoptively transferred into Rag1–/– recipient mice (Figure 2A).
