To examine whether plasma-derived EVs associate with markers of cellular activation and neuroinflammation in HIV-infected individuals with cognitive impairment, we tested four panels consisting of several antigens linked to neuronal cells (GFAP, MAP2, CD11b, and CD200), lymphoid cells (CD3, CD4, CD19, CD40, and CD154), myeloid cells (CD14, CD16, CD163, CD192, CD195, CD41a, CD62P, CD66b, and MCSF), and multivesicular bodies (CD63). This evidence concerns the gene CD14 and Cognitive impairment.
