Among the 32 genes, some have been reported to be associated with IBD development, but the others are new potential IBD biomarkers, such as APOL1, BNC2, EIF3L, HIST1H2BD, HMMR, MTATP6P1, POMT1, PPP1R3E, PRPF8, RNF167, and WBP2. This evidence concerns the gene APOL1 and inflammatory bowel disease.
