VAV1 and pancreatic adenocarcinoma: Interestingly, Vav1 was originally isolated as an in vitro–activated oncogene (Katzav et al., 1989) and has been implicated in breast cancer (Du et al., 2014), pancreatic adenocarcinoma, melanoma, and lung cancer (Fernandez-Zapico et al., 2005; Bartolome et al., 2006; Lazer et al., 2009).
