Here, we focused on the two most commonly assayed inflammatory markers (i.e. IL‐6 and CRP) as potential mediators of the prospective associations between sleep and ADHD in childhood, due to a possible role of inflammation in ADHD pathogenesis (Anand, Colpo, Zeni, Zeni, & Teixeira, 2017). The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
