By analyzing the bioinformatic data of human tissue samples provided in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) (Fig. 3C) and Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) (Fig. 3D) databases, we found consistantly elevated levels of ATP6AP2 ((P)RR encoding gene) transcripts (Fig. 3C) and (P)RR protein (Fig. 3D) in primary lesions of colon cancer in comparison to those of paracancerous normal tissues. The gene discussed is ATP6AP2; the disease is neoplasm.
