COL6A3 (collagen VI α 3), a protein of the ECM, is present in a majority of connective tissues, such as skin, muscle, vessels, and tendons.[37] Based on recent understanding, numerous studies have outlined the critical function of COL6A3 in the prognosis and diagnosis of prostate, lung, and colorectal cancers.[38–40] Besides the above findings, the use of COL6A3 to diagnose and prognose BC is still elusive. This evidence concerns the gene COL6A3 and colorectal cancer.
