Dexamethasone and colchicine—NETs inhibitors—were recommended to lower COVID-19 patient mortality (Deftereos et al., 2020; Tomazini et al., 2020), and DNase1 could degrade NETs to reduce thrombosis in immunothrombotic models (Jimenez-Alcazar et al., 2017), highlighting that NETs might just be a focus of attention for COVID-19 treatment.
