Nuclear RelA-P-ser536 in tumour cells and the presence of CAF-SULF2 were strongly correlated (Spearman's rho 0.722; p < 0.0001, Pearson χ2 test 0.005), supporting stromal SULF2 as a regulator of a RelA-P-ser536 in human HCC in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene SULF2 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
