EGFR and lung cancer: Interestingly, miR-455-5p OE was able to reduce the EGFR and PD-L1 expression independently of the EGF stimulation, both in normal bronchial epithelial cells (i.e., BEASB-2B) (Fig. 6K) and in NCI-H1975 lung cancer cells (which express high levels of PD-L1 due to presence of the L858R/T790M double activating mutations of EGFR [38]) (Fig. 6L).
