In a multivariate logistic regression model among all participants, male sex (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] = 1.68, 95% CI 1.03, 2.73, p = 0.039), current smoking (aOR = 2.74, 95% CI 1.30, 5.79, p = 0.008; compared to never or ex-smoker), diabetes mellitus (aOR = 2.97, 95% CI 1.48, 5.99, p = 0.002), hypertension (aOR = 1.67, 95% CI 1.02, 2.72, p = 0.04), higher IL-6 level (aOR = 1.09, 95% CI 1.04, 1.15, p = 0.001), and frailty (aOR = 3.82, 95% CI 1.33, 10.93, p = 0.012) were significantly associated with high PAA (Table 3).
