AKR1B10 and neoplasm: As shown in Fig 5, our study suggests that high AKR1B10 expression in malignant tumor tissue was associated with better OS in patients with HCC after hepatectomy (HR = 0.54, 95% CI: 0.41–0.72, p < 0.001) In addition, Sonohara [30] and Ha [33] showed that high AKR1B10 levels are associated with better RFS in HCC patients after hepatic resection.
