SETDB1 was reported to participate in regulating EMT in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells by binding to the P21 promoter and affecting its activity (Cao et al., 2020), in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma via interaction with SLC38A3 (Liu et al., 2020), and in HCC by interacting with Tiam1 (Zhang et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene SETDB1 and colorectal carcinoma.
