In RASSF1A-methylated BC tumors, Vlahov et al. have found that SRC-induced YAP1/β-catenin association through tyrosine phosphorylation is responsible for the Myc overexpression and invasive phenotypes of BC cells [52], while in BC-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), Calvo et al. have reported that the activation of YAP1 by SRC kinase is a signature feature of CAFs, which can further promote matrix stiffening, BC cell invasion and angiogenesis [99]. This evidence concerns the gene SRC and breast cancer.
