IL1B and infection: Inflammation is the first response induced after damage or infection and is an essential process for protecting the body.[20] The proinflammatory cytokine‐induced inflammation has been shown to have a crucial impact on the regeneration of various tissues.[21] However, excessive inflammation could reduce regenerative capacity and rate.[21b] In the osteoporotic model, the gene expression of IL‐1β and IL‐6 was higher by about 1.29‐ and 1.37‐fold in PLGA (Figure 7G).
