This included ISG15, a ubiquitin‐like protein serving as a type of lung cancer tumour suppressor [47, 48, 49, 50, 51] and PML, a key component of PML nuclear bodies (PML‐NBs), which plays the role of a tumour suppressor by contributing to apoptotic induction, inhibiting angiogenesis as well as cell cycle progression [52, 53, 54]. This evidence concerns the gene ISG15 and lung cancer.
